Jin Shin Jyutsu

Jin Shin Jyutsu restores and harmonizes the energy in your body, mind and spirit.

Jin Shin Jyutsu promotes your self-healing capacity and your health. It provides deep relaxation and reduces the harsh effects of stress. You’ll feel more vital, calmer and happier. It is a valuable addition to regular medicine.

How does Jin Shin Jyutsu work?

Jin Shin Jyutsu uses 26 ‘safety energy locks’. These lie on energy channels that feed your body with life energy. The congestion or slowing down of one or more of these energy pathways disrupts the bodily functions on site. Ultimately such a stagnation can unbalance the entire energy flow in your body. This can cause physical, mental and spiritual complaints. By holding certain combinations of these ‘safety energy locks’, the energy will be able to flow freely again.  As a result, tensions or health complaints can resolve, whether acute or chronic. You also become more and more aware of your body and yourself.

Simple and powerful

Jiro Murai believed that the ability to use this art is innate in each of us, just like our hands, the tools with which it is applied. A Jin Shin Jyutsu session can be given by a certified practitioner or by yourself. The gentle art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is simple but powerful!

Origin

Jin Shin Jyutsu physio-philosophy is an ancient Japanese art. It harmonizes the life energy in the body. It is thanks to Jiro Murai and Mary Burmeister that Jin Shin Jyutsu is now available to us.

Jiro Murai herontdekte Jin Shin Jyutsu Jiro Murai rediscovered Jin Shin Jyutsu when he himself fell seriously ill and used several handholds (mudras) to prepare himself for his death. To his surprise, after 7 days of fasting, meditating and doing mudras, he turned out to be completely cured. This led him to devote the rest of his life to the research and development of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Important was his study of the Kojiki, the Japanese ‘Record of Ancient Affairs’ from 712 AD.

At the end of the forties Mary Burmeister and Jiro Murai meet each other in Japan. On this occasion he asks her to study with him to eventually bring Jin Shin Jyutsu to the West. From that moment on Mary studied with Jiro Murai and understood Jin Shin Jyutsu in such a way that she could make it available to others. In the 60’s Mary Burmeister got her first students. Now there are thousands of students all over the world.
