The incredible energy healing benefits of Jin Shin Jyutsu

article by Amy Lawrenson on the website Rituals

Though you may not have heard of the ancient Japanese art of Jin Shin Jyutsu, this holistic practice is well worth getting to know. Focused on unblocking and harmonizing the body’s flow of vital life energy, this healing art has been found to help reduce stress and anxiety, instill a sense of calm and balance, nurture feelings of peace, and even help with pain management.

Books

Below you find some of the books that have inspired me. In the meantime, there are many more to be found. (By the way, for every book you purchase through these links, I receive a small amount).

Touch of Healing, Alice Burmeister and Tom Monte

This is the first book published in the Netherlands. It was written by Alice Burmeister and Tom Monte. Alice Burmeister is the ex-daughter-in-law of Mary. This is a fairly complete book on both the philosophy of Jin Shin Jyutsu and its practical application. With a bit of an American slant because of the many examples. But in my own practice I also see things happening on a daily basis that amaze me and the client.

The Art of Jin Shin, Alexis Brink

The Art of Jin Shin is one of the newest book on Jin Shin Jyutsu. A beautiful and clear book that teaches you how to balance yourself on the level of body, mind, and spirit and how to heal yourself with your own hands. With the help of pictures it is clearly explained step by step how to place your hands and flow yourself.

Jin Shin Jyutsu, Die Kunst der Selbstheilung durch Auflegen der Hande, Waltraud Riegger-Krause

This is a very nice book that clearly and beautifully describes both its philosophy and practical application. It is written by one of our official Jin Shin Jyutsu teachers. Unfortunately the book is only available in German or in the smaller English version with the cards you find below. But if you can read German then this book is highly recommended.

Health is in your Hands, Waltraud Riegger-Krause

This is a set a small book (about 10×15 cm) + a set of cards. It is published in English and it is a summary version of the book Jin Shin Jyutsu by Waltraud Riegger-Krause, which unfortunately is still only available in German at the moment. It is a nice set with clear explanations of Jin Shin Jyutsu in the booklet and on the card set you will find the flows for the Safety Energy Locks and for the body function energy flows. Many people like the cards to play with, to take with them on the road, in their studies or to draw a card.

Feeling great with the Moon, Irene Lauretti

I recently came across this book through a friend. It makes a nice connection between Jin Shin Juytsu, the moon and zodiac signs. I haven’t quite finished the book yet, but it is interesting to see how she connects Jin Shin Jyutsu with her knowledge of the moon and zodiac signs. For people who have done Jin Shin Jyutsu courses themselves, everything she discusses is very relatable. If you have no knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu it is a bit more complicated to understand this book.

Pendant Jin Shin Jyutsu

Sometimes things come together after a long time. For a long time I wanted a beautiful piece of Jin Shin Jyutsu jewelry and then you get to know someone who can make that for you. I am very happy with this beautiful pendant with the Jin Shin Jyutsu kanji. Together with the diamond that represents my zodiac sign, I wear it daily with great pleasure.
